My path to becoming a holistic health coach wasn't without its challenges. Like many, I found myself ensnared in the web of diet culture. I struggled with body image and found myself trapped in restrictive eating patterns. The pressure to conform to societal standards took a toll on my mental and physical well-being. I punished myself with excessive exercise, believing that I had to "earn" my food and self-worth.
A Bridge Between Science and Holistic Wellness
As a biochemist, I understood the intricacies of the human body, but it wasn't until I combined my scientific knowledge with holistic principles that true transformation began. I delved into understanding the intricate connections between nutrition, exercise, and mental health. This fusion of science and holistic wellness became the foundation of my approach as a health coach.
Empowering Fertility and Liberation
My journey took a pivotal turn when I explored the impact of birth control on women's bodies. I successfully navigated the world of birth control pills while advocating for my body's needs. I eventually made the decision to stop the pill and experienced the freedom of regaining control over my fertility. This moment ignited a fire within me to help other women understand their bodies and make informed choices.
Rising Beyond Restriction
Overcoming restrictive eating was a monumental achievement in my journey. I realized that true health is about nourishing the body and soul, not punishing them. I embraced a balanced 80/20 lifestyle that allowed me to enjoy both nutritious foods and occasional treats guilt-free. This mindset shift was a game-changer, and I'm committed to guiding others toward a healthier relationship with food.
Empowering Others with Knowledge
My passion for helping others led me to specialize in supporting individuals with insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. Through personalized coaching, I've witnessed incredible transformations as my clients regain control over their health. It's immensely rewarding to empower them with the knowledge they need to make sustainable lifestyle changes.
